Chapter Seven

Darius

Who would’ve thought? Demons’ wings are sensitive. I had Jirga writhing and begging to come before I even finished exploring one. The poor man ended up having two orgasms before I got inside of him. In the end, he passed out from the pleasure which makes me damn proud of myself. He’s been asleep ever since. So adorable. My powers haven’t fully activated yet but from the stories I heard it can take up to 24 hours after the claiming for the process to begin.

Normally, I’d be sleeping right now but thanks to Jirga’s blood I’m wide awake. It’s been awhile since I fed on something besides animals and with Jirga being a demon it’s like I drank liquid electricity. Still, he tastes delicious. Like licorice. Figures he’d taste like licorice since he smells like licorice. I won’t need a whole lot of his blood to keep me going since it’s so strong a few sips daily will do. Damn he’s so sexy when he’s sleeping and that ass. I’m half tempted to bite it again.

Maybe I should go make myself something to eat so I’ll stop looking at my mate like he’s dinner. Now, how to do that without waking him. I somehow ended up laying on one of his wings although he doesn’t seem to mind. As I cautiously move towards the edge of the bed trying not to wake him suddenly everything becomes large. Did I just shrink? What the hell? Where is that random chirping coming from and why is it so hard to walk on this bed?!

HELP!!!

Jirga’s eyes fly open and he looks around. When his eyes land on me he smiles, and says, “Aww honey, you look so cute as a bat.”

A BAT?!! How in the hell am I a bat?! Oh my god how do I work these appendages!!?

As I fumble around on the bed trying to figure out how to walk I notice Jirga shaking from the laughter he’s holding back.

Laugh, I dare you. Bastard.

At that moment, I do another face plant on the sheets and he bursts into laughter. I try my best to glare at him while in this form but fail miserably considering he laughs harder. Deciding to switch tactics I go for the pouty bat face. He stops laughing and gives me a soft smile. “Aww honey, I’m sorry I laughed. Come here.”

I fumble my way into his open hands and he holds me against his chest while stroking my cheek with one finger. “You’re so adorable, I couldn’t help but laugh. Is this part of your new abilities?”

It would have to be. I’ve heard of others getting strange new powers but I’ve never heard of anyone being able to change forms like this.

“Do you think you can change back?”

I lift one wing to mimic a shrug. I can try.

I close my eyes and try to change back. I feel a change but when I open my eyes Jirga is titling his head to look at me. “Not quite.
